The Colusi County Historical Society Spring Meeting took place at the Casa Lupe Restaurant in Hamilton City on May 14, 2005 at 12:00 Noon. The Mayor of Hamilton City spoke to the membership and after the meeting, members had the choice of 2 great mini field trips in the area.

Gene Russell narrated a trip at the Will S. Green Monument. The topic covered the history of irrigation within the Colusi County and the role Will S. Green played. The other trip took place at the Monroeville Cemetery, where William B. Ide, the first elected President of the Republic of California is buried.
